60 Seconds with our New Environmental Manager, Nina Delia

We had the pleasure of sitting down with Nina Delia, our newly appointed Environmental Manager, to delve into her role and hear about her exciting vision for the future in this position. In this Interview, Nina talks about her passion towards sustainability and shares her inspiration in life.

How would you define what you do at Bidvest Noonan?

I’m here to drive our efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions across our business and services by implementing sustainability initiatives. A key part of my role involves meticulously tracking our carbon footprint to pinpoint the sources of emissions that need our attention the most., I also play a role in supporting our tender processes and collaborating with both existing and prospective customers on strategies to jointly achieve our net-zero objectives.

Could you give us an update on your first few weeks and what are you looking forward to?

My first few weeks have been a whirlwind of getting to know everyone and the various systems that I will be working within. I have spent the majority of my time understanding our carbon footprint data and seeking to improve both the breadth and the accuracy. I am really looking forward to applying my data management skills to carbon footprint our services for client reporting & implementing initiatives that will reduce our carbon footprint.

What is it you’re most excited about as our new Environmental manager?

I am most excited about creating meaningful initiatives that will reduce our carbon footprint whilst supporting our team and clients to contribute to the UK’s net zero strategy!

How do you motivate yourself?

I am lucky to be intrinsically motivated by sustainability, it’s hard not to be in the current climate. My work never ends!

Who or what has inspired you the most?

I am inspired by the planet we inhabit, I love to get out to explore nature and find the synchronicity of nature awe inspiring!

Stephen Taylor has been appointed Director of Operations for our Transport sector business

Bidvest Noonan has appointed Stephen Taylor as Director of Operations for our Transport Solutions business unit. We launched our Transport Solutions Business Unit in December 2021 to cement our leadership position in the sector and establish a strong platform for our continued growth and development.

Today, the business unit counts many of the UK’s rail, coach, tram, and bus service operators among its customers. The business unit which specialises in cleaning and support services for the sector estimates that its cleaning teams have positively impacted more than 1.5 billion passenger journeys since its launch just over one year ago.

Stephen’s appointment is part of Bidvest Noonan’s continued investment in its transport sector business. With more than ten years of industry experience, Stephen is a highly accomplished leader. In addition, he brings a wealth of operations leadership experience from across the transport sector to Bidvest Noonan.

Bidvest Noonan appoints Chris Rugg as Director of Operations for its London Security Solutions business unit

Bidvest Noonan has appointed Chris Rugg as Director of Operations in its London Security Solutions business unit. The company launched the specialist London-focused business unit in February 2022 to expand its expertise and capability in the capital. Since its launch, the business unit, which delivers a wide range of security and front-of-house services, has established a leadership position in the city.

Chris Rugg has more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in the security industry. Following a successful career in the British armed forces, Chris served in director-level positions with a number of the largest security businesses in the UK. In recent years, he has focussed exclusively on London and amassed invaluable experience directing security operations in the city.

With more than 20 years of industry experience under her belt, Jenny is highly accomplished and brings extensive operations leadership experience across multiple sectors to her new role.

Bidvest Noonan’s Facilities Solutions business unit provides cleaning and support services nationwide across the UK. The business unit has an impressive portfolio of customers that includes market leading businesses in the Pharmaceutical, Food, Automotive, Leisure, Retail and Corporate sectors.

Jenny’s appointment comes at a time when Bidvest Noonan has experienced significant growth. Jenny’s vast experience and knowledge will be invaluable in helping the company to continue growing and deliver exceptional value and service to customers.
