In this conversation with Peter Smyth, Director of Innovation and Technology, we explore the concept of Dynamic Cleaning, a data-driven and technology-enhanced approach to cleaning that aims to match the supply of cleaning resources against demand.
What is Dynamic Cleaning?
Dynamic cleaning enables us to develop data-driven insights and an accurate understanding of which spaces in customer buildings need to be cleaned and when to clean them.
Its an approach that aims to match the supply of cleaning resources against demand more accurately than ever before.
What are the benefits of Dynamic Cleaning?
The benefits of Dynamic Cleaning are many, including cleaner buildings, happier building users, more efficient cleaning teams and a better environment for all.
Cleaning teams become more productive because they allocate their time based on data about how spaces are used. This means team members can be redeployed to where they are needed most, providing greater value to our customers.
Building users enjoy better environments because cleaning teams know where and when to spend their time to ensure spaces remain clean and attractive.
Dynamic cleaning improves the sustainability of our operations. We use less water, less energy and less cleaning chemical because cleaning is targeted to areas that need attention.
How do the sensors work?
Our sensors are discretely installed around our customers’ sites. They detect motion, temperature, light (lux), and humidity levels within any given area. The data flows into powerful dashboards which we use to inform our cleaning operations.
Does this impact the privacy of building users?
No; the data collected is entirely anonymous, providing information only on a specific area and not on specific individuals in that space.
